Heats up very fast and cuts cooking time exponentially. Glass top stays much cleaner than our old glass top radiant range. Love the expandable grill burners. So nice to be able to use a grill when we have many people to feed. In love with the ability to use just about any size pan on the burner. Downside was buying new pots, but got some wonderful new ones. Other thing that we dont like is the high pitched whining sound some pans make when heating up. Also, if you are buying the appliance based on a rebate, be sure it applies. We were denied our rebate as Electolux said the offer was honored only when multiple appliances were purchased.

This cooktop is very responsive when changing temperatures. It heats up quickly and maintains an even temperature. Once you unlock it, the controls are easy to use. Love the feature that shows you which control to use, based on placement of the pan. It looks beautiful and is easy to clean. My concern is with the size of the cooking areas. The heating area for âlargeâ pans is actually quite small. If I use a 12â All Clad sauté pan the heat is very concentrated in a small area. When I turn up the heat level the center burns while food at the edges of the pan barely cooks. Iâve used these pans on other cooktops and this does not happen. Itâs almost impossible to use the smallest burner while using a large pan next to it. A different layout of the heating elements would be an improvement. The larger burners, even on high, donât seem to get as hot as my old electric cooktop. Making French fries the old fashioned way seems to take forever. If you take a pan off the heat for a few seconds the unit turns off which is a good safety feature, but, you have to wait about a minute to unlock it again to continue cooking. Iâve cooked for many years on a regular electric cooktop so I am still learning the ins and outs of induction. I havenât received my electric bill since Iâve started using it, Iâm hoping there wonât be a big surprise.
