Great features but poor ventilation

I love all the features of this microwave. I have one problem with the exhaust ventilation which I consider to be a major problem. It is powerful as advertised. I have it vented outside. Some of the exhaust comes out of the top left side and out of the top left door hinge. 100% of the exhaust should go outside! A service tech come out to fix it but after he spoke to KitchenAid tech support the answer was that is was normal operation because of the fan capacity. Designing a hood exhaust to recirculate some of the exhaust back into the kitchen makes no sense. Now I am being charged for a service call because it works normally. I have since seen other reviews complaining about the same issue. Also moisture occasionally gets between the glass. The answer here was again normal operation. How do I clean it later on? I've had many KitchenAid appliances over the years and this is the first time I've been disappointed.

I was taken by the stylish profile and very amazed at how much room was inside. It’s a true work horse , the many features allow us to get food on the table in a jiffy. The ease of programming and choices were a big plus to us and played a major role in why we choose this model, along with its sleek and sexy design.

In our remodel we realized we were not going to be able to eliminate the over the range microwave and I did not like how big and clunky those feel. I saw this and was skeptical at first but wow, it continues to impress. The light is brighter than our under cabinet lighting and the fan vents as well as a hood leaving no odor. I love the size and profile it leaves, not big and clunky but sleek and modern.

I expected a much more quiet fan since the kitchen and family room are part of the great room. Can't use fan and hear tv at the same time.
