Weve had our unit for almost two years now Of course now is when it starts acting up For almost a year I have been dealing with the same issue i. e. When activated or half way through the cycle the control interface starts flashing lights and beeping until we unplug the unit. Then we must start from the begging. As is with most electronical issues this is intermittent sometimes going weeks between episodes. We are very happy with the dishwasher other than this annoying defect
Front controls have some downside

Silent and efficient dishwasher. But during our use in kitchen front controls time to time getting touched by accident and causing to start the dishwasher accidentally and require to cancel the wash cycle.

VERY DISAPPOINTED Seems to have it all for a good price. 2 items stick out. 1st wash time. For a Auto Load its 3 hrs. If you add the Extra Dry it adds another half hour - yet the inside is still as soaking wet as not using the Extra Dry feature. I have to leave the door open for another half hour for it to dry out inside. I read an article that mentioned rust as a byproduct of the condensation. Other than that. Its quiet. If you interrupt the cycle to add something..you do have to hit the start button again instead of it automatically resuming when the door is re closed. If you can handle the wetness issue its not a bad dishwasher and has received good reviews which is why I bought it... not sure how you research an issue like this ahead of time......
Better product

Bought this device to replace a relatively new competing product . A piece of plastic fell onto the heating element and destroyed the washer . LG products have a cover for the heating element so that type of incident cannot recur. After a month of operation the LG is superior in cleaning and drying to an older Miele and the more recent Kitchenaid
Great
