This is the first trash compactor we have ever owned, but it is a wonderful appliance for our large family. It works well and has an amazing crushing power to help decrease our trash output.

This is the second Kitchen Aid compactor. I love that it compacts so well. My first one had the controls on the exterior. This one looks nice, but there is a huge handle and for someone unfamiliar with trash compactors your first inclination would be to open it with the handle not the foot pedal. I’m not sure if pulling on the handle will eventually damage anything.

I’m very happy with all the features of my Kitchenaid Compactor. It compacts well and I also like the freshener feature too. Quiet also. Had GE before but this it the best!

Our trash compactor is wonderfully quiet & efficient. This is our first compactor & we’re so glad we chose Kitchenaid - described as quieter my the sale person & it truly is. What is so great is we can recycle more - the compactor assures our recycling can isn’t overflowing.
