I have had KitchenAid appliances for years. I replaced my SubZero Refridge with a KitchenAid refridge and am sorry I did. Two days after installation the refridge portion temperature was reading 59 degrees and the alarm was flashing. Service here is terrible. First repair company called the day before scheduled date to say they could not fix as repair person was too old to service a larger refridge. Said they would call KitchenAid that night. I called to get new service company -two days later repairman said he would have to order part. That was four days ago and I have still not heard back on when part would arrive or installation of new part would occur. My food is spoiling. It's been two weeks since installation. totally unacceptable! This is not an inexpensive appliance The freezer works great, which is why I gave it two stars. I can't recommend this product at this time.

We purchased this a month ago to replace our 29 year old 48" Sub-Zero that was finally dying. This KitchenAid was a match in terms of installation in existing space. It runs cooler and quieter than the sub-zero. Love the led lighting inside. The layout took a bit to get used to given we had the sub-zero for 29 years. Love the ice that the ice maker makes. The cubes are hard and very fresh. The storage space is great in both the freezer and refrigerator side. Main reason for switching from Sub-Zero to KitchenAid was price and that the installation was easy. So far we are very please with this purchase.

I bought this as a direct replacement for a Kitchenaid refrigerator that was 20 years old and was starting to give me problems. This one is less noisy, except for the ice maker, but that isn’t really a problem. It cools down quickly and is much more efficient. It says that it is the same size but it seems bigger. We have had it for 2 months and I could not be happier.
