I waited to complete this review until I had been able to use the appliance extensively (how else can one write an accurate review?). I am a Whirlpool fan and try to buy Whirlpool whenever I have the option. Thus said, this is a more "base" model than what I typically purchase as we are only planning to live in this house (it's a flip) for one year. I love the appearance of the stove. The black stainless is beautiful. It looks SO good with the new kitchen we just completed. The burner heat up fast and you can boil water quickly. I have been very careful not to scratch the front control panel as I had read that this was easy to do (I thoroughly read the reviews from others before purchasing). However, I do have a couple of small scratching that I believe were done by a guest at my house. You just can't slide pans or cookie sheets over the edge of the front of the stove as the panel sticks up higher than the glass top. I cook (alot), so this stove has been put to the test over the past 7 months since purchasing it. I feel like the oven may run hot as baked items are done much sooner than the recipes read, so I have to always set my timer for a shorter amount of time. But, this is just my guess as I do not have a thermometer in the oven to check it. My oven light just quit working last week. When I hit the "light" button, I hear of beep similar to the timer beep and I'm thinking this is some signal to notify me to change the bulb (at least that's what I'm hoping it is). I tried to figure out how to remove the light to check it out, but I think it will take the strength of my husband to unscrew the light mechanism. I've never replaced an oven light bulb so I'm surprised that this quit working in 7 months. I will contact Whirlpool to check on this.

Love the range but sometimes the controls don't seem to make connection properly. Could be operator error! LOL

Looks great but cooktop surface is VERY hard to keep clean. Why black?
