I only used it twice and on my second use it was making a load rubbing sound on the left side of the machine. I have to stop coz the side was heating up. I have to call service and have it checked.
Sounds like a Jet & it only gets dry-ish.

Where to start... It is not intuitive but it is very loud. It takes a significant amount of time to "dry" but it never quite reaches the 'dry' level; it stays damp. The controls: 1. it takes a few seconds to start (stop and count to 5 using "1 Mississippi...2 Mississippi" etc until 5 Seconds. You'll see how frustrating it is. 2. Then, you have to select from the pre-selected options. But, if you want to have certain features, like "steam", you can only do so if you go under the 'regular' dry setting; you can't do it alone or on a timed setting. 3. Once you have selected your option, you'll either be prompted to pick a drying level, if not, it'll go to step 4. 4. This is where you'll select if you want it finished 'damp' (the full sun option), 'dryish' (the sun with a breeze), and whether you want the wrinkle shield (has an iron with a slash through it). Reiterating::: -If you go with the 'option' with the sun on it, it may as well stay wet. -If you use the option with the 'sun and a breeze', it stays damp. **If you use the 'wrinkle shield', it will restart every so often- you'll hear the compressor start, then the drum, finally it'll stop and then restart. let's say you want to extend the dry time by a few minutes? Well, then you have to restart it> let it go through the chime and sequential flashing lights > go to through all of the prompts of which drying option (timed) > select the length of 'time' > and whether you want the wrinkle shield or not. I had another Whirlpool ventless dryer. I thought that it was terrible at first; the filter on the bottom didn't catch anything and the cooling element had a shield so it couldn't get cleaned. This machine seems slightly better... except the filter is just awful. The bottom filter fits the area just right... that means that there's Not an overlap around the filter and the cooling element; thus, it STILL lets lint in.
Glad I Switched to Compact

Purchased and installed and a hall laundry closet three weeks ago. I am very happy with the features, quality, and noise level of the compact dryer. My concerns prior to purchasing a ventless, compact dryer: Capacity: This dryer can dry two king-size sheets and pillowcases in less than two hours. It dries a regular load in an hour or less. Noise level: The dryer makes a noise different than a vented dryer but it is not annoying or loud. Heat Generated: The amount of heat generated is not significant. In the Arizona summer, I might need to use the ventilation fan. Emptying the water reserve tank: The ample water container easily slides in and out and is simple to empty. The drain hose is long enough to go into a drain, if available. Fabrics come out nice and soft. Instead of clothes being burnt to a crisp, they are gently dried.
It’s quite and efficient

I must admit , I was a bit apprehensive about a ventless dryer. I am very pleased with the results.
