Had to replace my original OTR microwave that came with my house (11 years old). Although, we figured it out the hardest thing was removing the old microwave. This model is very quiet while running and looks sharp in the back stainless. We have no complaints and the best part was getting it on sale. A great mid-price selection.
Amazing microwave

I had a GE microwave before I bought my whirlpool and I’m just simply amazed on the features it has and also the quality of the craftsmanship of it, I’m so happy that I will be buying more of your appliances :)
Well made

We recently bought this model because it was rated high in a consumer magazine. The only complaint we have so far, is that the range light is so far back that it doesn't seem to be very bright.
Super quiet. Works well

Our old Kenmore died so I decided on a Whirlpool . Great capacity and performance.

After our 20 year old microwave died, my husband and I settled for this one. He uses it more than I. The capacity is good. The quality seems good. - The controls were complicated at first - you have to cycle through all the particular choices for a specific function; our previous machine had all the functions printed on the inside of the door. - This microwave extends out from my cabinets about 3 inches more than the previous one and I have hit my head more than a few times while using the back burner of my stove. - My biggest complaint is that the lights both inside the unit and especially the downward light are extremely weak and NOT LED. There is only one down light and this makes for cooking in the dark -or at least in shadow of the kitchen overhead lights. I would love to be able to replace these weak, yellow bulbs with bright, clean, cool white LEDs... not sure if this is possible? (Of course, in the store you have no way of knowing what the lighting will look like because the microwaves are not plugged in on display...)
